Thigh & Buttock Lift

Firmness, Shape & Natural Elevation

Thigh and buttock lift surgery is a body contouring procedure designed to correct skin laxity in two of the most challenging areas of the body: the inner thighs and the lower buttock region. It is both a reconstructive and aesthetic procedure, offering significant improvement in body contour, symmetry, and daily comfort.

When is a thigh & buttock lift indicated?

This procedure is suitable for individuals who experience:

• Inner thigh laxity, often associated with friction and asymmetry
• Sagging or flattened buttocks
• Excess skin following weight loss or age-related skin laxity
• Discomfort with clothing or exercise due to hanging tissue

It is often combined with liposuction (e.g. VASER®) and may be part of a body lift or post–massive weight loss reconstruction.

Surgical technique & anesthesia

• Performed under general anesthesia
• Procedure duration: 2–3 hours
• Excess skin and fat are removed, and tissues are lifted and stabilized

Incision placement is carefully planned:

Thigh lift:
• In the groin crease for limited (mini) thigh lift, or
• Along the inner thigh for more extensive cases
Buttock lift:
• Along the upper buttock crease or sacral area, concealed by underwear or swimwear

When excess fat is present, VASER® or SmartLipo® liposuction is used to enhance contouring and improve skin tightening.

Combination procedures

Thigh and buttock lift surgery can be combined with:

• Abdominoplasty or brachioplasty
• Fat transfer to the buttocks for a natural lift (BBL)
• A combined thigh lift and buttock lift as part of a lower body lift

Recovery & healing

• Return home: same day or next day
• Rest period: 5–7 days
• Compression garments: 4–6 weeks
• Light walking: from day one
• Exercise: after 4–6 weeks
• Final results: gradually visible within 2–3 months

Postoperative discomfort is usually mild to moderate and improves steadily each day.

Benefits of thigh & buttock lift surgery

• Firmness and symmetry in areas resistant to exercise
• Smooth, lifted appearance of thighs and buttocks
• Greater comfort in clothing and daily movement
• Improved body confidence and self-image

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Will there be scars?
Yes. Scars are placed along natural body lines and are carefully planned to be concealed when standing or wearing clothing. With proper care, they mature and fade well over time.
Is the procedure painful?

Discomfort is usually mild to moderate and is well managed with medication.

Can the skin become loose again?

With stable weight and healthy lifestyle habits, results are long-lasting. Significant weight changes or aging may gradually affect skin quality over time.

Would you like a body assessment?
